Vibrating Feeder

This heavy-duty mining vibrating feeder adopts twin vibratory motor drive. It delivers continuous, adjustable feeding for bulk ore ahead of primary crushers. The grizzly bar section is optional to scalp fines and clay, protecting crushing equipment and improving plant throughput. Simple structure, low maintenance and reliable performance, widely used in quarry, mineral processing and aggregate production lines.

Product Overview

Our vibrating feeder (also called grizzly vibratory feeder) is installed under the hopper in front of the primary crusher. It uses twin vibratory motors to deliver a controlled, continuous flow of bulk ore — preventing surge loading, protecting the crusher and reducing manual labor. The integrated grizzly bar section pre-screens fine particles and clay before they enter the crusher, lowering wear cost and improving overall plant throughput.

  • Even, adjustable feed rate to match crusher capacity and avoid overload
  • Grizzly bar section pre-screens fines and clay before crushing
  • Heavy-duty welded trough, suitable for lumps up to 1000+ mm
  • Vibratory motor drive — simple structure, easy maintenance, low noise
  • Damping springs isolate vibration from the foundation
  • Dust-tight design available for dry, dusty mining environments

Working Principle

Two vibratory motors mounted on the trough generate a linear exciting force. Material in the hopper jumps forward in small, continuous steps along the trough, moving toward the crusher at a controlled speed. The grizzly bar section scalps out fines in parallel, so only oversize material enters the primary crusher.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between a vibrating feeder and an apron feeder?

A vibrating feeder uses vibratory motion for medium to fine ores; an apron feeder uses moving steel pans for very large lumps, sticky clay or high head pressure. For most dry-ore primary crushing plants, the vibrating feeder is more economical.

Q: Does the grizzly bar section really improve crusher performance?

Yes. By scalping out fines and clay before the primary crusher, it reduces crusher load, lowers power draw and extends liner life.

Q: How do I adjust the feed rate?

A variable frequency drive (VFD) on the vibratory motors smoothly adjusts vibration amplitude and feed rate.

Q: What wear parts should I keep in stock?

Trough liners, grizzly bars, isolation springs and vibratory motor bearings. We supply a matched spare-parts kit.

Q: Can it handle wet, sticky ore?

Dry to slightly damp ores are fine. For very wet sticky clay, we recommend a stepped trough or apron feeder alternative.
