Process Overview
The Coal & Aggregates Sand & Gravel Washing System is an integrated wet processing plant, designed to handle coal, crushed rock aggregates, natural sand and gravel.
The core function is removing clay, silt, mud, surface dust and impurities from raw materials, to reduce mud content and produce qualified construction aggregates, manufactured sand, gravel, or cleaned coal with lower ash content.
Note: Sand washer is only one unit of this whole washing line. The full plant includes feeding, screening, washing, fine sand recovery, hydrocyclone classification and tailings dewatering modules. When processing coal, additional coal washing equipment such as jigging machine or dense medium separator will be equipped to separate coal from gangue.
Working Process Flow
- Raw Material Feeding: Raw coal / rock aggregates / sand & gravel sent by hopper + vibrating feeder
- Pre-screening: Vibrating screen removes big oversize stones, separate coarse & fine fractions
- Washing Stage: Wheel / spiral aggregate & sand washer to wash off clay and silt
- Hydrocyclone Classification: Classify slurry, recover fine sand particles
- Fine Sand Recovery System: Capture lost fine sand, improve sand yield
- Dewatering Screen: Reduce surface moisture of finished sand & aggregates
- Tailings Treatment: Slurry delivered to filter press, solid-liquid separation, water recycling
- Coal Washing Branch (Optional): Jig / heavy medium separator to separate coal and gangue
