Anionic Polyacrylamide

Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM) is a water-soluble anionic polymer designed for industrial wastewater treatment. It adsorbs suspended mineral particles, forms large and stable flocs, and accelerates sedimentation in mine tailings, sand washing, coal washing and alkaline industrial wastewater systems.

  • - anionic polyacrylamide for mine tailings
  • - anionic PAM for sand washing wastewater
  • - APAM for industrial wastewater clarification
  • - high molecular weight anionic polyacrylamide
  • - anionic flocculant for mineral processing
  • - polyacrylamide for thickener performance
  • - APAM for water recycling in mine camps
  • - anionic polyacrylamide hydrolysis degree
  • - anionic PAM dosage for tailings

Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM / Anionic PAM)

High Molecular Weight Anionic Flocculant for Mine Tailings, Sand Washing & Industrial Wastewater Clarification

Product Introduction

Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM) is a water-soluble anionic polyelectrolyte polymer. With negatively charged long molecular chains, it can strongly adsorb positively charged suspended mineral particles via bridging and adsorption, forming large, dense flocs for fast sedimentation and solid-liquid separation.

It is widely used for mine tailing water thickening, sand washing wastewater, coal washing, ore beneficiation, river sedimentation, and alkaline industrial wastewater treatment. It is the preferred flocculant for mineral processing and remote mine camp water recycling systems.

Key Advantages & Benefits

  • Fast Flocculation & Rapid Settling: Long polymer chains build stable flocs quickly; clear supernatant can be recycled to reduce water consumption in mines.
  • Low Dosage & Cost Saving: High molecular weight delivers excellent performance with low addition amount, cutting chemical operating cost.
  • Good Adaptability for Alkaline Mine Water: Stable flocculation effect for tailings, sand and coal washing wastewater with high pH value.
  • Easy Dissolving & Convenient Operation: Good water solubility, forms uniform solution without insoluble lumps when prepared properly.
  • High Water Recovery Rate: Help thickener & clarifier recover clean water for reuse, perfect for water-shortage desert mine camps.
  • Custom Grades Available: Multiple molecular weight & hydrolysis grades for gold ore, iron ore, copper ore, sand and gravel projects.

Typical Applications

  • Mine tailings thickening & clarification (gold, iron, copper, lithium mine)
  • Sand washing & gravel washing wastewater treatment
  • Coal preparation / coal washing wastewater
  • Ore beneficiation, slurry concentration and solid-liquid separation
  • River dredging, sludge sedimentation, erosion control
  • Water recycling system for remote mine site camps

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between Anionic PAM and Cationic PAM?

A1: Anionic PAM is negatively charged, best for inorganic suspended solids such as mine tailings, sand slurry, alkaline wastewater clarification. Cationic PAM is positively charged, mainly used for organic sludge dewatering of domestic sewage.

Q2: What grade APAM should I choose for my tailing water?

A2: Medium hydrolysis degree (25–30%) and 15–18 million MW is the general mining standard. Fine clay tailings need higher hydrolysis grade. We can provide free jar test guidance after receiving your water sample report.

Q3: How to prepare the APAM solution correctly?

A3: Prepare 0.1% ~ 0.3% dilute solution. Slowly sprinkle powder into continuously stirred clean water, avoid lump formation. Do not add powder fast. Dissolved solution should be used within 24 hours for best performance.

Q4: Can you supply MSDS, COA and TDS documents for export?

A4: Yes. MSDS (Safety Data Sheet), COA (Certificate of Analysis) and TDS technical sheet will be supplied together for customs clearance and project tender submission.

Q5: What is your MOQ and lead time?

A5: MOQ is 1 ton. Lead time 7–12 working days after deposit. We support FOB and CIF shipment for mine camp projects.

Q6: Can APAM be mixed with PolyDADMAC?

A6: Yes, it is a common combination. PolyDADMAC works as coagulant first, then APAM is dosed for flocculation, to get better turbidity and color removal effect.
