PolyDADMAC (Polydiallyldimethylammonium Chloride / PDADMAC)
Cationic Coagulant for Raw Water Clarification, Turbidity Removal, Color Removal & Sludge Conditioning
Product Introduction
PolyDADMAC, also known as PDADMAC, is a high charge density cationic polyelectrolyte. It is widely used as a coagulant in drinking water pretreatment, municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, sludge conditioning and solid-liquid separation.
PolyDADMAC works by neutralizing negatively charged colloids, destabilizing fine suspended particles and promoting the formation of large, settleable flocs. It is often used together with anionic or cationic PAM to improve flocculation efficiency, reduce turbidity, remove color and enhance sludge dewatering performance.

FAQ
Q1: What is PolyDADMAC?
A1: PolyDADMAC, or PDADMAC, is a strong cationic polyelectrolyte used as a coagulant in water and wastewater treatment. It neutralizes negative colloids and improves floc formation.
Q2: What is the difference between PolyDADMAC and PAM?
A2: PolyDADMAC is a cationic coagulant with high charge density but relatively lower molecular weight. PAM is a flocculant with higher molecular weight. They are often used together: PolyDADMAC first, then PAM.
Q3: Can PolyDADMAC be used for drinking water?
A3: Yes, it can be used for drinking water pretreatment and raw water clarification. However, the specific grade and dosage must comply with local water quality standards and project requirements.
Q4: How to dose PolyDADMAC?
A4: It is usually dosed before flocculation. For raw water, typical dosage is 0.5 ~ 5 ppm. For sludge conditioning, dosage is higher, around 10 ~ 50 ppm. Jar test is recommended.
Q5: Is PolyDADMAC compatible with PAM?
A5: Yes. PolyDADMAC is commonly used with anionic PAM or cationic PAM. PolyDADMAC destabilizes colloids first, and PAM builds larger flocs for better settling and dewatering.
Q6: What is your MOQ and lead time?
A6: MOQ is 1 ton for liquid products. Lead time is 7 ~ 15 working days after deposit. MSDS, COA and TDS are available for export and project submission.
